Schiphol airport, outside Amsterdam, is one of the four largest airports in Europe. It is an important stop for many people flying between America and Asia. One million tonnes of goods also pass through Schiphol every year. It specialises in goods that have to be delivered quickly, like flowers. In the future, an underground system will connect the airport to the huge flower auction in Aalsmeer. There will also be a high-speed rail connection between Schiphol, Brussels and Paris.
